Men Dating Women with Strong Sexual Desire, High Anxiety (Research)

Men Dating Women with Strong, High Anxiety (Research)

Research shows that men feel anxious when dating sexually active women. The study, published in the journal European Journal of Social Psychology, is the result of eight months of observation of 62 newly established couples.

In psychology, the research team used'attachment styles', which refers to the type of relationship one has with others, as the criterion for discrimination. Attachment types are divided into safe type, worry type, rejection avoidance type, and fear-avoidance type. The attachment type is not fixed and appears differently depending on which partner you are dating.

The research team asked couples a series of questions that elucidated their relationship. Also, in the laboratory, verbal and non-verbal signals between couples were captured in the video. And after 4 and 8 months, I asked the couples again.

As a result, they found that male and female attachment styles change depending on the level of intimacy and sexual desire of the partner. In the case of women, the higher the sexual desire of the partner, the lower the anxiety symptoms over time. The higher the male lover's desire to sleep, the more secure the female feels.

The research team explained that "this is because women naturally regard men as beings with strong sexual desires." In other words, it means determining whether a relationship is solid based on whether or not you want sex.

The male was the opposite. The anxiety decreased when the partner had high emotional intimacy but low sexual desire. The more active the female partner was about sex, the more anxious the man felt about the relationship with his partner.

The research team explained that "because men consider women to be more prone to betrayal if they have strong sexual desires and threaten the relationship between the two." Men think that a woman's high sexual desire destroys traditional gender roles, so if a newly partnered woman is in this case, she becomes anxious and suspicious of a good partner. When A Couple Is Together, Brain Activity Is Consistent (Research)

When you are with the opposite sex you feel like, your gesture language' is synchronized. For example, when the opponent lifts the cup, he holds the cup with him, and when the opponent touches the straw, he behaves the same way.
When they are in a couple of relationship like a couple, beyond a simple relationship that feels good feelings, not only their behaviors become similar, but their brain activity is also synchronized.

The research team at Singapore's Nanyang Technological University conducted this study on 24 couples living in Singapore. The research team checked how many children each couple had and how old the youngest was. The couples participating in this experiment had at least one child under the age of four. We also investigated who among the couples responded more actively to childrearing and how they responded to childcare.

The research team then divided the couples into two groups, one group for couples to stay in the same room and the other for couples to stay in different rooms. He also heard various noises, adult vocalizations, negative sounds like crying babies, and positive sounds like laughing.

Participants exposed to these sounds scored a score of 1-5 for how much pain they felt while listening to each sound.

During the experiment, a device capable of measuring blood flow in the prefrontal cortex of the brain was worn on the head. This is near-infrared spectroscopy, which examines the activation of specific brain regions through high concentrations of oxidized blood. The research team assessed the degree of brain synchronization by looking at how consistent this blood flow pattern was between the couple.

The research team conducted the same experiment on men and women who had no relationship with each other.

Research shows that the brain is more synchronized when the couple is in the same space than when they are apart. In particular, this characteristic was remarkable in the brain regions such as the lower frontal gyrus, left middle anterior gyrus, and both anterior gyrus. On the other hand, in the non-married control group, there was no significant difference in synchronization when they were together or apart.
